Skinstation's Anti-Acne Facial

Annyeong! It's been 3 years since I last updated my blog. Where have I been?! Well I guess I just lost interest in blogging but now I'm back. #ComebackisReal and I hope it's for good.

Well a lot has happened in the past years. I went to Manila last 2015 for I underwent a training for Ms World Ph. And then I finally decided to stay here because of modeling work.

So what made me decide to go back to writing? Hmm, I guess because I am in Manila and there has been a lot of places I've been going to, new products I've been trying out. And sayang naman that I don't get to share it to you, guys.

By the way, in the coming days, I will be reviewing some Korean products I got during my recent trip to Korea. So, watch out for it.

Anyway, enough with that long intro. For now, I would like to share to you my facial experience with Skinstation.

Apparently, it's also been 3 years since I last had my facial. I think I got so traumatized with the pricking part that I don't wanna ever have facial again. But just today, I decided to go for it coz I've been having closed comedones on my left cheeks and no matter what products I use, it's just there #mayforever. I mean it doesn't grow, it doesn't minimize in size and upon further research, I have clogged pores due to makeup and too much sebum and extraction is the only way to remove them. Well I dont wanna do it myself. I'll leave it to the expert.

So yesterday, I booked an appointment at Skinstation Shopwise Cubao (the one nearest to my place). I've been eyeing out for anti-acne facial. When I went there, the receptionist is recommending me to add glycolic peel and acne light something. Sorry I forgot the exact treatment. But I just opted anti-acne facial and glycolic peel since I wasn't really planning to spend a lot this time.

I've been having my diode underarm laser at this branch so I'm already aware about the ambiance, the rooms - they're not new to me. I really like that one's privacy is valued at Skinstation since they provide individual rooms for their treatments.

Me before the facial, looks like I don't have troubled skin!

I was asked to lie down. The facialist cleansed my face, exfoliated then steamed it for 10 minutes. I was really praying na wag masyadong masakit yung pricking. After the facial, extraction comes - my fave part, NOT. So yes as usual it's painful. Ate said the comedones have a small opening so she has to dig deeper so she can extract them unlike with pimples, the pus is already there; they're easier to extract so they're less painful. I like how ate really checks if she missed some spots. She even extracted some on my neck, and one almost at my batok. Hahaha

After that favorite part, she applied glycolic peel. This is supposed to lessen breakouts with it's micropeeling properties. They are so MAHAPDIIIIII as expected as the wounds are open. She left it for 5 min on my face. Then a facial mask was applied for 20 minutes. And the final step: moisturizer. And done. I almost dont wanna walk home - my face was so red coz I really have sensitive skin. It looks like it's been stung by a bee. Lol. The ate told me the redness will be gone in a few hours. Well, I hope so!

                                                                  Anyare? Huhu

Am I going back? Hmm. Maybe, but not next month. Haha! I would't go to facials if I don't need to. It's always my last option as I think you can do facials at home, you just need the right tools and products. If it weren't for these comedones, I will skip facial.

If you're curious how much I paid, it was P1500 for the whole facial treatment. P900 for the facial alone and P600 for the glycolic peel. I think this was the most expensive facial I got since facials in our province would only range P300-500. Haha! But that is okay, may face really felt so clean afterwards.

You may also check their website for other types of facial they offer.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Hi! I just had the same procedure last Monday... so it has been 2 days. And medyo nakoconscious ako kasi rough pa skin ko.. eto na ba ung peeling? How long before the skin texture improves?

Catography (Cat Photography)

Cat Photography is never an easy thing. Still I've decided to give it a try. Besides, my cat is very photogenic, she'll do the trick. hehehe. But yeah, an ounce of patience , practice , and lots of coordination will bring you there. If you don't have them, this is not for you. Seeing those cute cat photos over the internet made me do this. What made the shoot special is that it's like my cat knows I'm shooting her. She poses different angles with every click of the camera. And mind you, she really looks straight into the lens (as obvious in the photos). The secret? CONNECTION! Gain your pet's trust. Rawr! To view the photos above individually, scroll down. :)) That's all I have to say. PS. if you got a pet, grab your camera and have fun shooting, both of you! :D Meow-meow!

My Bench Fix Experience

So it's been months since I wanted to cut my hair short but haven't had the chance to since I've been joining beauty pageants and we know that it's a challenge to style short hair.  However, I've been seeing a lot of actresses resorting to this kind of hairstyle (Anne Curtis, Kathryn Bernardo, Taylor Swift) and it's like becoming a trend already at syempre magpapahuli ba naman ako? It's like the universe is telling me that I should follow their footsteps. Hehehe Hairspiration hihihi I've been eyeing a lot of salons, reading reviews online on which salon I should trust my hair to. I've tried numerous salons in our city but haven't really found one that made me feel satisfied.  After my boyfriend suggested for me to try Bench Fix at SM, which was the only Bench Fix here in Gensan, I was quite hesitant at first since I don't have any girl friends who have tried there and of course I would like to ask for their feedbacks. Not that I don't tru...
